Fertility Awareness Method and Charting

For some reason to me the idea of waking up on the weekends the same time as i do on weekdays just to temp sounds awful...i'm lazy! Also my schedule isn't the same eveyrday of the week and sometimes i sleep later than others...and i love my sleep...i guess its just something i'm going to have to decide when we become serious about TTC because it would be a big change for me to wake up everyday earlier than necessary to do that!
 
I don't get how you check CM after unprotected sex though? Doesn't that hide your CM?
 
In mucus only methods, they ask you not to have sex for a cycle to get used to what your mucus looked like (or at least the one I use... which is why I learnt when I was a virgin!)

I temp & chart and I certainly do not wake up the same time at the weekend as I do during the week as my alarm goes off at 6.30am weekdays but as long as you take your temp after 3 hours of sleep it is ok! :thumbup:

Also when you do have a LO you will definately be waking up earlier than necessary lol so it might be good practice :shrug:
 
hey ladies

i chart as well as using condoms pretty much throughout the entire cycle as my OH is really paraniod.

anyways, I do not get up in the weekends just to take my temp, but then once I do wake up I temp and then I use this site https://www.whenmybaby.com/basalbodytemperature.php to adjust my bodytemp to what it would have been at the time I normally wake up.
I believe you have to adjust it down one degree for every hour you that you woke up later than normal... or something along those lines.

At the moment, my alarm goes off at 7am every day of the week. At weekends, I take my temp and go straight back to sleep! I haven't found it too disturbing at all.
 
I have difficulties with sleeping anyway at the moment so I take Calms to help me sleep so once I am awake I am awake which is why at the weekend I just leave my alarm off saying that we have 2 dogs so I am up at 7ish at the weekends anyway lol
 
Same, my dog is my alarm clock on the weekends. If we are not up at the same time we get up during the week, he wakes us. The main thing is to take it as soon as you wake up, don't lay around and then take it later.
