Fertility programme

it's a good thing to train in though what with the declining fertility! :)

i think he'll be interested in it, i was going to wait and watch it with him tonight but i couldn't resist :haha: maybe i'll watch it again. i think it's good for the men to watch so they can understand what we're going to go through!

I just watched it. Held it together until the end when it hit me how it doesn't work more often than it does and seeing the couples reactions then lost it. Now recommending it to family and friends as an insight. My OH won't watch it :(

it was the bit at the end where it gave an update on each couple that was so, so sad

I thought it was a really great documentary though, loved the head of the clinic and loved all the staff! and I also loved the couples, it was really hard to watch them not getting their happy endings, especially because it's real life :(

I cried right from the beginning because hearing the head of the clinic speaking about infertility really touched me, I've never heard someone who isn't infertile speaking my feelings if that makes sense :haha:

when the girl kerry got her bfp I cried with joy for her, even thinking about it is making me tear up  they were just so happy! it was a really great thing to see :)

I'm a big wimp, I cry all the time  I posted it on my facebook, hoping that some people will watch it! I doubt they will though.

why won't your OH watch it?

Yes! I was exactly the same and immediately wanted to make people watch it so they can hear what its like from someone who isn't living it, to prove I'm not just being a hysterical woman, lol. The update bit was so sad when you realise things still haven't worked out for them :(

He hates those sorts of documentaries anyway but doesn't like to be reminded of what's going on. He has now said he will watch if it makes me feel better. Don't know if could watch again without balling the whole way through!

so glad you thought the same! it should be compulsory viewing for family and friends of infertile couples :haha:

I wanted to watch it with my OH but I'm so glad I didn't because I was really upset watching it, much more than I thought I would be. and I would have felt a bit embarrassed even though he has seen me crying a million times. he says he will watch it but I know he won't. I really really really want him to though, so he can see what it's going to be like! because I don't think he really understands how it works even though I've explained it loads. it's not the same for the men is it? I don't think my OH likes to be reminded either, he is so laid back and blasé about everything in life :haha:

I watched it twice as i wanted hubby to watch it too. The man who was head of fertility was amazing at understanding womens feeling. I wanted hubby to see its not just me who is very emotional about ttc. The way it explained that we think about babies all day long and each shop is mothercare and everyone pushing a pram!!!! Totally how i feel. I think it helped hubby to understand me a little more lol xxx

i just watched it again too mrsbroodypant :haha: with my OH, he really enjoyed it and i think gained a lot from it! :) after embryo transfer he was like 'is that them pregnant now then?' so it was sad to watch the rest unfolding and definitely the first time he will have realised what a hard journey it's going to be when we get to the top of the waiting list!

how amazing was it hearing a man saying that?! it made me cry so much :haha:

did your hubby say anything about it in particular? it should be essential viewing for all OHs and DHs as well as family and friends :haha:

mine also 'realised' that lord of the rings is based on conception, according to him   he is adamant that he has figured it out and that's what LOTR is about, so funny
