Evening ladies,

Im not usually in the ltttc section so will update you breifly. Been ttc for the last 2 years in which I have suffered 5 m/c's between 4 and 6 weeks.

I have really REALLY heavy periods, sometimes tampon and towel (sorry if tmi ) and I never knew until today it was a symptom of fibroids and recurrent miscarriage (before 6 weeks) can be due to fibroids.

I just feel this must be my 'problem' but reading online about them and they talk about removing my woomb as treatment and I got really upset so stopped reading.

Does anyone know much about them?
All adivse or facts etc welcome :)

Thank you xxxxxx

Just wanted to send you a hug. I had a lap and dye in may and they found a fibroid but said they weren't worried about it. Don't give up hope I've had 3 m/c's between 4-6 eels and a ruptured ectopic at 11 weeks but I've also got a 4 year old son so don't think the worst. Have you Bern told if they will or need to remove the fibroids ?

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear of your losses. I have been told I have a fibroid - they found it on a trans vaginal scan. The first scan showed a submucosal fibroid which apparently is the rarest type and the one that causes the most problems for fertility. i too looked them up online and it was horrible. I got very upset as all i found was that they are the number one reason for women to have hysterectomies  I decided to pay for a private scan and this scan showed the firboid to be Intramural which isn't so bad. But it left me totally confused as to which type of fibroid it is. Finally i had an HSG done 3 weeks ago and the results showed a submucosal fibroid and a polyp now and i have been told i need to have a hysteroscopy so they can have a better look and possibly cut the fibroid and polyp out. I have been able to get a referral through my private health insurance to see a specialist gynaecologist and my appt if this Tuesday. I would get a referral to see a gynaecologist so they can run the tests to diagnose if you have a fibroid and if so what type it is. I regret not going through my private health insurance sooner.

Fingers crossed for you and wishing you well.
