I went to my fertility specialist today for a check up as when I was pregnant with my baby they saw a fibroid (the size of his head) and they said I should get it checked out.
The fs said that I was very very lucky to get pregnant and not miscarry and not have the baby born very early. It did take us 2 years (and very nearly ivf, I got pregnant the month before we were due to start IVF) we were always told that we had unexplained infertility despite my oh having morphology problems.
The fs said that if I want more babies I should stop breastfeeding and ttc asap as the fibroid is likely to grow with time making my chance of getting pregnant drop.
Has anyone else been told that fibroids can negatively effect fertility so much?
I feel very lucky to have my baby but I am deverstated that she has diagnosed this progressive problem
