Figuring out DPO

I got my pos opk today, boobs are tender and I’m having ov pains on my “good” side. My AF was a short one, only 4 days and I see my ticker says I’m not meant to ov for 4 more days. Short cycle maybe? Can someone refresh my memory on how we know when we’re 1DPO. I don’t temp... yet thank you!

You can ovulate around 12-36 hours after an OPK (or in some cases not at all as it only tells you that your body is gearing up to ovulate) so it can be tricky to say exactly. Without anything else to go on, I would probably count from the day after the positive OPK, temping really is the best way to do it though.

I tested neg yesterday, pos late morning today and hard to tell if neg or pos this aft!
