Finally had my first experience of being a 'teen mum'. (*bit of a rant*)

Argh i hate it when people believe just because someone is older they know everything and that just because someone is 'younger' they are useless. Grrrrr.... i think you were very restrained.

That was just out of order. It is none of her business at all. Age plays a very small part, if any, in how good a parent you are.

i would of needed restraining
neways good on ya for giving her a peice of your mind i think i would of slapped her lol

Thanks girls,

I know I shouldn't let these people get me down.. I know I'm a good mum. Is just annoying as hell when someone judges you and thinks you're crap because you got married and pregnant before you reached 20 - So what?!

 For all you fellow teen mummies out there - You're all doing an amazing job - I think you're fab! :D

I know the feeling, went shopping the other day with my other half and this old lady gave me right evils (poor old bump feels insulted :p ). I know im only 18 but the last time i looked its completely legal, and its my choice to have a baby or not. So to my mind ive done nothing wrong, and your body is designed to have children around that age! And im sure shes not brilliant and done nothing wrong in her life!lol.

Love the pic btw tasha, looks so cute!!!!

Some people need to get a life of their own and stop butting into other peoples!

Well done for telling her off Tasha! Maybe she will think twice before interferring again!

awww I am so sorry to hear that, must be awful being perfect for these people, ignore her and anyone else babe, you be a good mum, the only person that matters is your little princess, she won't care how old you are, your her mummy and thats all that matters xx

 Good on you for keeping calm and holding your tongue for so long
I wouldn't have been able to, after the first comment about not dropping the baby I would have hurled quite afew profanities her way.

What pisses me off is that old people forget they were all popping kids out as teenagers too lol
xx

Age has nothing to do with parenting skills, nasty old woman needs to mind her own business

People love to get in your business. I would of said worse if shed said that to me. Thats the thing that bothers me the most if i am pregnant. Cos ill just go off on one lol. Dont listen to people like that tho. They wanna get to you so dont let them :) x

What a silly , rude woman. Sorry you had to deal with such an ignorant cow, but well done for standing up to her hun. I work with many teenage Mums, and many of them are fantastic Mums, full of confidence, love and much more able than many older Mums whom I have met. Age has nothing to do with your ability to successfully raise a child.
xx

ER, bearing in mind women of her age, prob all had kids by nineteen say forty years ago and a gd deal of women 20 yrs ago wld hav too.

Silly women ninteen hardly young young is it, and even so, what makes a 'teen' mum less able than any other! grr at people!

When people ask how old i am i just say either "Old Enough to have a baby" or "Well how old are you?"
