Finally testing DH(update with results pg 3)

HappilyMrs- How did the test go? My dh had the test done about 1 year ago. We've had hsg and lap surgery since then...then had ovulating issues...now clomid. ..no cm issues...so first iui next month!

He was a champ!!! He said everything went well and hopefully we will get some answers within a week or so.

Good luck with IUI!!!!!!! I can't imagine how anxious you must be... it makes me anxious just thinking about it haha!

let us know how it goes --- so far your story sounds like ours! i saw my obgyn around 10 months after trying and we did the blood test (progesterone) and SA only....she gave us some instructions with timing....and said if both are good, and the timing is good for 6 months, then we can go further

i am not being very patient at all though....im thinking of going ahead and scheduling something in 2-3 months if no go, so at least i can get the hsg test (even though i don't want it, but its the next step)

I haven't heard about HSG before this thread... it's crazy how many people are thinking about having it done or had it done. I might need to ask my gyno about this.

I'm not very patient either... about this at least haha. Normally I'm okay but this just makes me crazy hehe!!:haha:

I went in about 2 years ago for a "preconception appointment" was put on prenatals and then we actually started trying in Oct. 2013 and I was having 80+ day cycles so I went back in and did labs and was put on provera and then clomid and femera. Finally I have a normal cycle for me at least and seem to ovulate on my own but still nothing. I got sick of hearing the doctor say it's going to take time and be patient that finally I just took things into my own hands and started scheduling appointments lol. 2 or 3 months is a LONG time when TTC... especially when it's already been a long time.

We got results today...

The lab screwed up and didn't do the motility test. I'm super mad about that... It was just slacking off because they completed the rest of the tests within 17 minutes of the sample being collected. So we have to retake it... super bummed

However, his count is good. His PH is not... and he has white blood cells present. I know white blood cells are normally there in small amounts but the doctor said not like the levels he had. So we are hoping maybe he had some sort of small infection from soap or something and it was just irritated. We will find out with the next test. The PH is very acidic, he said the sperm is basically dying before they can go anywhere.

Our next step, to get a retest and most likely will be send to a reproductive urologist after that.

I'm bummed... I mean don't get me wrong, it could be worse but more waiting and having so much unknown just makes me super BLAH!
