Ok, wifes period has finally arrived (8th may) after coming off the pill 2 mths ago!

So, on my calculations (based on a 28 day cyc ) she should be most fertile between 19th-24th.

We plan to start opk from 18th and have sex on the 18th and then every other day.

Is this right???

You can do it by calculations, but that's pretty often wrong. Coming off bcp your wife might find her cycles are variable and lengthening. OPKs will help figure out what is really going on, as will charting her basal body temperature. In her fertile period it would work for you to DTD every day or every other day, for a normal man doing it every day does not hurt your chances. Hope it works out for you.

Typically, the most fertile day for a 28days cycle is said to be the 14th day /CD14. However this is not accurate for every one.

Based on the OPK box I use, if your wife's cycle is 28 days long she should start opk on the 11th day/ CD 11.

Since she just got off BC you guys may have to play around with it for a few months(if necessary) to see what is the average length of her cycle. Based on your findings use the opk box you guys have to tell you when to start testing for LH.
