It certainly is!!! It can be really hard, even now I struggle what sort of Doppler do you have? I have a sonolone B, when I first got it I found some great videos on YouTube which really helped identify all the different sounds in there and tips on how to find the heartbeat. Remember to stay low, right at your hairline, use lots of gel, go really slowly from hip to hip - does need to be really slow else you'll miss it! Also bubs moves quite a lot so I used to only catch it for a really short time before she wriggled off somewhere else, remember everything is still small in there so it'll be tricky to find. Most importantly, don't worry if you can't find it, it doesn't mean anythings wrong, just means bubs doesn't want to co operate. Also I found I needed to have an empty bladder and to have not eaten anything in the beginning, once I'd eaten I didn't have a chance of finding it until the next day! Good luck xx
I'm on the larger side but not majorly. I did hear last night but tried twice today with no luck . I'm sure everything is fine but just need some reassurance from you girls xxxx
It's easy to miss. I can be at the right spot, but my Doppler needs to be perfectly angled to pick it up. I also find empty bladder and stomach the best. So I always check after I wake up and use the bathroom and go on about my day
I bought a cheap Doppler when I was pregnant with my son and never managed to find his Hb the whole way through my pregnancy. How soon have you ladies managed to find it?
I have a high-Bebe Doppler. I managed to find the HB at ten weeks but I agree on the empty bladder and stomach. Makes it much easier. Good luck. Hope you find it soon!
