First Cervix Check

Had my first cervix check today at my appointment. I got a scheduled induction for September 17th if I don't go into labor on my own before that. I have blood pressure issues and GD so they want me to go at 39 weeks. Today I was not dialated at all, 50% effaced, and baby was at station -3. He is head down though. Does that mean I still have a ways to go? If love to go on my own before the induction date but don't know if that's going to happen. I did show some Contractions on my NST today but I don't feel them.

50% is good that's half way effaced and -3 is still pretty high up but it's a start I hope things speed up for you

The thing with the cervix is it can change daily so to be long and closed to the day after open and dilated! It's such a job figuring out everything before labour begins. I hope things work out for you !
