First IVF cycle!

Have just had some great news, after paying for Donor Insemination for last 10 months (with no success!) we have been told we can have our first cycle of IVF on the NHS!
Due to start 'sniffing' as they so delicately describe it on August 6th, with egg collection planned for week beginning 8th September. Is all quite strange, don't really know what to expect.
Now all we have to hope for it that the drugs do their thing and that we get lots of good quality follicles to be collected!!

Best of luck to you! There has suddenly been an influx of IVF'ers! Happy sniffing! My clinic rarely uses synarel (thats what you're using is it?) i'm on lucrin so i'm soooooo lucky (not) and get to have 2 shots a day, though I have heard that synarel (its mostly refered to as shitterall ) is worse with having to deal with the taste.

Yes will be taking synarel, well my partner actually not me (lesbian couple). I just get to see all the lovely side effects. Will tell her to keep eating lots of proteins - although during the DI had no problems in producing follicles - just never had success. She is not looking forward to the injections in a couple of weeks, luckily I am not squeamish and will be able to do them for her!

3 days into 'sniffing' no real side effects noticed yet. She is complaining of the yuk taste in the mouth - but that seems to be cleared with chocolate! She could not stop sneezing this morning after taking so had to repeat the dose once sneezing had subsided.
Have to go for blood test on the 26th so a while to go yet...
