First Month TTC - Ovulation Symptoms

Hi Ladies - I am 33 years old and this is my first month TTC. I have always have very regular 28-30 day cycles and have always noticed "ovulation symptoms" mid-cycle.

I started using an OPK this month to pinpoint when I am ovulating. I took the test on cycle days 9 and 11 and got negative results (the test window had a very faint pink line compared to the comparison window).

On day 12 I began to notice slightly tender breasts (a symptom I get every month mid cycle than continues until my period starts). I tested again on the morning of day 13 and the pink line in the test window was darker but still not equal to the comparison window. I tested again the evening of day 13 and the test window was just about the same color as the comparison window (maybe a teeny bit lighter). I also began having lower abdominal pain on the left side on day 13 and breast tenderness increased. Last month I noticed the pain on the right side.

I took another OPK this morning, CD 14, and got a negative result (faint pink line). I experienced lower abdominal pain/cramps, mostly on the left side from yesterday afternoon/evening to this morning/afternoon which seem to have subsided now.

Based on this info - when do you think I ovulated / am ovulating? My fiancé and I were only able to BD on CD 10 but are hoping to again tonight. I'm worried that I missed my window of opportunity.

Sounds like you may have Od on CD13. Are you temping?

BD on CD10 will probably catch it. Can't hurt to do it again tonight!

Thanks for the reply, greenarcher! I did not start temping this cycle but think I will next month if not pregnant. OPK was positive on CD13 but wouldn't that mean I would O 12-36 hours after that? I didn't test on day 11 or 12 because I thought it was too early so I don't know if I had LH surge before CD13 but it was definitely gone by the morning of CD14.

Generally that's what it means, but you could have caught the end of your surge. Also LH peaks in the afternoon, so maybe you peaked CD12? I'd consider yourself 1DPO. 3 days is within the window, so here's hoping you get a positive result in two weeks!

Exciting! Thanks! Just checked CM and it's back to creamy white today so I guess O has definitely come and gone! I am still having some mild cramping though on the left side now.
