First scan today... anyone else?!

How many weeks months are you?

I am only asking because I am almost 6 weeks but not scheduled to see my doctor for a month for follow up...I don't even think he has a scan planned then!

Shouldn't I be getting a scan in the first trimester?

I hear tons of people getting early scans to hear the heart beat etc.

I do not know about the OP here, but reason I get early scans is due to my history of miscarriages. Otherwise if I had no history of them, I would only get the first scan at 12 weeks and one more at 20 weeks.

If you wanted to you could inquire with your doctor about doing a scan around 8weeks just tell him it's cause you're real worried (for you, you can use the age card).

Also the OP of this thread if you look at her ticker, she is about 12 weeks along when she had her scan yesterday.
