First time trying formula

I have been battling for 2 weeks with a baby that i thought had reflux because he got angry after feeds (i currently breastfeed) and would scream, he also got angry while feeding and would unlatch and relatch and then cry because he wanted it but then didn't and then would cry when i took him off the boob and he would open his mouth like he wanted more and then the cycle would go on. We have been put on reflux medication but doesn't seem to be helping.

I now think maybe he is just hungry, so am about to try a bottle of formula because i just want a happy baby. Has anyone else gone through something similar having a hungry breastfed baby and then putting them onto formula?

I did have a supply issue - I had to bottle feed after nursing to get baby full.

i tried regular formula last night and he bawled his eyes out after so it must have hurt his tummy so i went and got some thickened anti reflux formula today and he seems better. I am going to trial it for a day and if it doesn't help i will go back to breastfeeding

Switching back and forth like that so quickly can hurt his tummy.

well he has been fine with it, and people do combine feed and don't have problems
