First time using these ovulation tests!

Can someone please tell me how these things work lol took my first test yesterday and was faint then today this one. Does the line have to be exactly the same in colour as the control line?

mine said on the box it needs to be as dark or intense as the control line 🙂 x

Never used one before either and am curious about how they work. I'm coming off Nexplanon on the 19th but have had irregular periods while on it, so I'm not sure how to figure out when I'm ovulating. Are you supposed to test every day until you narrow down the window?
