five year old missing!!

I'm very attached to it too. I was only 15 or something when Maddie went missing and didn't have children but this has hit me hard. In the last month or so in Kilmarnock near me there has been a yellow van trying to coax children in and warnings all over Facebook. Scary world we live in.

I've been really affected too. You can see I was posting on here to a stupid time, I just couldnt sleep.

The fact he hasnt told them where she is doesnt bode well to me, if she was alive then he most likely would in order to get a lighter sentence etc, but if she has died then he might be hoping she is never found as it is harder to prosecute without the missing person :( Plus I think that they fact they dont want the public helping suggests they believe they are no longer looking for someone they believe is alive :(

Yes, this is also what I think. I thought this since yesterday as I don't believe a live girl would be found by/in the river. The way the river was flowing and the vicinity of the car to it doesn't sit well. Coupled with the fact witnesses have heard reports of tyre tracks on the banks where a car just wouldn't go.

I still hold out some hope and I know there is a hell of a lot of information being held back by the police, I can feel that they know a lot more than they're letting on. The confusion over the vehicles, the fact they're not saying why Mark Bridger is a person of interest etc. I think something is going to break through today. Just have to sit and wait :nope:

Also can I just say that I want to punch the Mccans in the face for trying to get involved! :growlmad:

When he was first arrested, they were telling locals to look in out builings, so I think at that stage they believed there was a chance. But now the change from last night at 9.30pm saying volunteers come back in the morning, to now saying they dont want the public to help suggests to me that they dont want a member of the public to find her body, as the police are trained for that :(

I agree they are holding back a lot, I think to try and protect April in case she is alive. At the press conference last night they said about the shoes an then two seconds later said they had nothing of April's, I think someone slipped up and they have April's shoes. Again not a good sign.

Seriously? Is no situation sacred from the McCann's using it as a publicity stunt?

"Offering their support" to the family, trying to get in on all the action. Those people rile me to no end.

Unbelievable!
I've got a horrible feeling today :(

When I saw they didn't want public help any more my thought was they're looking for a body :(

Yes I agree, I believe the police are now looking for a body and that could be an imminent discovery they are preparing for. This is why the media will also be pushed back today, I'd imagine alot of the news will be replays of clips and news footage, not that I can see it as I'm at work.

Hopefully something is said today x

That is not good that they've asked the public not to help now after asking them to last night. Oh god. X

i think shes in that river. I have a massive feeling, and normally my "feelings" arnt wrong.

I have to say that the most support I had over loosing my baby when I miscarried was from other people who have been through it themselves. i took comfort from other people who actually know what it is like to loose a child.
When a child goes missing in this country the newspapers flock to the McCanns and the support they have offered is most likely to have been the result of the papers asking "have you got a message for the parents of the missing child" who in that situation wouldn't say "our hearts go out to them and we offer our support and anything that we can do to help" This is then published as "the Macanns have contacted the family offering their support"

Yes I believe this too, like I said - the proximity of the car found to the river, and the tyre tracks, speaks volumes unfortunately.

I want to know why! If he has killed her why why why?! If he only took her to abuse her bit had to kill her because of how big it got so fast then again why? Why take a little girl to abuse? He has kids of his own the sick fuck!!! X x

I would agree, if I believe the McCanns had souls. I seriously dislike them and I don't believe they have been through the same thing at all. But that is for a different thread.

I thought they said they were gonna stop the search parties of locals as they feared they'd make it harder for the thermal imaging to trace April.

i would have thought theyd have the search people in there looking?

The river is in flood, and the current moving very fast. That will be hindering the search. Also the fact it was dark last night. It's not easy to search a river with the murky conditions of the water. Unfortunately, due to the fact the current was moving so fast yesterday she could literally be miles away, if she were to be in there somewhere of course..
