five year old missing!!

No, he has quite a few children, some of which actually used to play with April

He is single though as he'd not long since split up with his partner x

I agree EmmyReece

The suspected murder charge was announced yesterday after searching his house! The witnesses said there was a lot of action and forensics there yesterday. Alot of people going in so I think they def found something.

I dread to think what!

Although a body is so final as its looking that way I just want them to find her now for her family. They need her home now x
Just to add to that, of they we wrong there would be no compensation cheque, that guy would be lynched as soon as he walked free
Surely if the police were wrong, then that would be made known to the public -- if they stated that he was an innocent man -- would he still get lynched??

If they had a body they would say surely?

They do with all other cases like this?

I think the family need to know one way or another, and if she has gone (which I really don't want to be true), then they need her body so that they can goodbye and lay her to rest

I'd bet my house on it. A statement saying he was innocent wouldn't be enough for the vast majority, ever heard the saying no smoke without fire?

He had 6 children, he even took April on a fishing trip to the seaside in August. She was good friends with his step daughter and 2 of his children :nope:

They were still searching the river earlier so that leads me to think they've not got the body yet, but I could be wrong.

I do think they'd say if they had a body, just not the evidence if that makes sense? So that the jury for his trial are not swayed in anyway?

Suzib76- lynched or not, are you telling me you wouldn't sue the police if you were wrongfully arrested ?

I know we wont really know until all the details come out but a neighbour saw his landrover on the street a few minutes before she disappeared, the child probably named him, he's been seen with a bin bag by the river, his landrover was hidden in a garage.. I do not think he's innocent! Just my opinion.

Straight away I think there was never any doubt, they knew who it was and found him. They have more witnesses and information than they will ever let on right now.

I never said that, what I said was he would be lynched

Actually that has really bothered me, why reply with the wacko emoticon ??

I wasn't saying whether anyone would be right or wrong to sue the police, I just said he wouldn't get a chance...

I agree. Unfortunately, I'm not holding out much hope anymore :(

I didn't see Suzi say anything about that? She was merely stating that he would probably still be guilty in the eyes of the public if he were to be released without charge.

I think I was blinded by having so much hope that April is ok. :cry: I feel so sick xx

Because I use it as a confused smiley? I can understand things can be misinterpreted over the internet...sorry!

Does it sound horrible to say that I'm glad neither of my brothers came across her body (I really dread to think how either of them would have coped)? But, then again, I just want it all over with for the family. The boys joined the searches up until the police said that it was dangerous for them to do so in the horrible weather conditions (some people had been turning up with babies to search for her).

I think they would certainly say if they had a body. It would be breaking news! They wouldn't need to hide that fact and couldnt. Why have people been searching if they had found her. It's the news people will be waiting for unless a miracle happens

I so hope they do soon!
I know this is terrible and I don't know how to spoiler but what state will she be in if she's been in water all this time :cry:

She won't be very good if she has been under water

I know it's not the same, but when my mum's dog was swept away in the floods in June, when someone found him in their field he smelt absolutely horrible and that was only after a couple of days. We're almost getting on for a week on monday night :nope:
