Has anyone been to Florida over Christmas time ?? We are thinking of booking a surprise holiday to Florida for the boys next Christmas as their Christmas present :)
Anyone that has been, what are the parks like at this time of year ?? what is the weather like ?? and is it really worth the extra money ??

Thanks in advance :flower:

I've been just after Christmas and it was magical, but I'd never go over Christmas day, I like to be with my family :)

Ooo would love to do this!! I would say it would be fantastic, if you have the money then go for it I say x

We have started saving and all being well and money permitting we really want to do it :) we are thinking of leaving 2 days before Christmas and spending all of Christmas and New year out there :)

wow you lucky thing! :D we were saving to go sept 2012............but other things have came up :haha: one day fingers crossed! x

I would imagine it would be really magical especially for children.

I can imagine it would be amazing! Ive been 5 times but never at christmas! I love everything about disney! We went at halloween and that was really good! I think the whether is a bit chilly so you'd need jumpers on but i dont think its cold!
Im soo jealous!
xx

I haven't been for Christmas but I've at the end of November and the weather was lovely, we had some really hot days and some cooler days but still warm enough to go in the pool and stuff.

I'd love to go for Christmas aslong as we were in a private villa. The last time I went we had a 5 bedroom villa with our own pool just outside orlando in kissimee on a private estate, it was really cheap and so luxurious! Probably because of the time of year.

I'd love to go at christmas! we have always been in september..

I think it would be amazing at christmas time :D

We were there for the first time in April and the boys loved it, but it is alot dearer to go around Christmas and I just wanted to make sure it was as magical as they are making it out to be. We plan to spend Christmas day in Disney world and the rest of the time doing the different parks :)

i've been in florida at xmas but not disney. weather is gorgeous....more like a nice english summers day so hit and miss but less humid than the summer months are in florida.

as others have said, take jumpers but if you're lucky then you'll have beautiful sunshine and a fab time :)

Does it really get cold enough for jumpers ?? I have seen pics online of people sunbathing in bikinis on Christmas day !!! lol

I think it sounds lovely but if its a surprise for the boys maybe you should drop subtle hints of whether they enjoy Christmas at home or prefer to go away? I'd personally love to go to Florida around Christmas time but not Christmas day. I guess it depends on your traditions :)

TBH at Christmas we spend it on our own anyway  So I think the boys would prefer to be in Disney World rather that sitting in the house, just the four of us watching Christmas TV and playing board games. We dont do family Christmases, the only person i see over Christmas is my sister and she has already given me the go ahead, said she would do it herself :)

Especially the Hulk ones :winkwink: :haha:

umm well i think it CAN be chilly enough for a jumper (certainly early morning and potentially evenings) but during the day its more likely that you'd just be in shorts and tshirts and a much nicer heat than in the summer.

I lived there for a year and i do remember using my coat when i had to get up at 6am for work in the winter but then by 9/10am its nice and hot outside and you'd look like a fool in a coat
