Flu in early pregnancy

Hi just found out I'm pregnant at weekend, I've also has really bad flu where I can't get out of bed with a temp. Seen doctor and she just said take paracetamol and keep cool. I'm really paranoid this is going to affect the pregnancy. Anyone else had flu?

I haven't but try not to worry. Just make sure you don't overheat, so none of the usual sweating under 3 duvets kinda cures! Hope you feel better soon!

Try not to worry, I had hand, foot and mouth last week (my son got it from nursery) and I was in a pure panic but I google'd info and it says its not dangerous in pregnany. Now I am full of cold and again panic sets in but i have been assured all will be ok x

I just got back from the docs and i have a sever throat and eye infection! Already taking stemitil for morning sickness and now taking antibiotics and throat sweets and parecetamol and she assured me my peanut will be fine. Hope you feel better soon.xx

parcetamol and lots of fluids hun keep dressed in light clothes and limit any covers as you dont want to get too hot
