Hi ive been in hospital twice over the weekend with a bleed
Luckily ive had a internal and heartbeat checked and all seems to be
Well with baby so they dont know the cause. I mentioned to doctor
That i was going on holiday in 3 weeks and was hoping to get my fit
To fly letter. If she wont sign one does this mean i wont be able to fly?

If they have found no cause to the bleeding then I can't see why not. I'm quite high risk but my dr signed a letter for me to fly. Hope you can still go. But if not it'll be because of the risk to your unborn baby. Sending u good luck xxx

How pregnant are you? I've just flown at 25 weeks and didn't need to show anything.

They say u don't need a letter unless your further than 28 weeks however if your visibly showing the airline has a right to refuse u on the flight if you don't have proof. Some Drs may charge x

I would have it for insurance and saftey purposes if something should happen and dr didn't approve ur insurance could refuse to pay any bills if something should happen

No you don't need anything. Pregnancy for insurance is not even required to be declared. We checked all the small print - do the same with your insurance - but generally you are covered for complications relating to pregnancy under most travel insurances, and if you are 28-35 weeks, get a signed letter that you are fit to fly. Being 16 weeks you should be fine to fly as normal on a normal travel insurance policy. Just have your E111 health card as well x

You don't have to declare pregnancy on insurance as it's not a medical condition. I did email my insurance company to double check so I have proof of them knowing I'm pregnant and told me not to do anything. Have a lush holiday and relax xx

Thanks so much thats really put my mind at rest. Can i just ask which insurance company you used?

I'm in work at the moment but I'll check for you when I can (hubby sorted it all out). To be honest though I think we just used a comparison website and picked the most suitable (and cheapest!). Hope you're going off somewhere nice!
