folic acid and o

We decided this month we would ttc twins naturally, I stared taking folic acid as I read it can increase ur odds, I have clockwork cycles 31 days with o on cd 16, I jormally do not get any cramps from o, starting on cd 10 I started getting slight pains in both my right and left side, this continued until today now I have excruciating pains in my left side with slight pains in my right, has anyone experienced this with either a cycle u conceived twins or a cycle with an upped dose of folic acid?

I forgot to mention I am taking 5.6mg of folic acid and using opks to track ovulation

I took 4mg of folic acid when TTC#1 but I didn't have twins. I'm taking 4mg again this time around...I'ven never heard that it increases the chance of having twins
