First attempt- I had a follicle scan last month on CD 10 & one dominant follicle @ 14mm. I used Ovidrel (to induce ovulation). I didn't get pregnant...

Second attempt- I had a follicle scan today on CD 11...NO dominant follicles, all about 8-9mm...What the hell?! My body is so jacked up. I have to go back on Saturday for a re-scan...My estrogen level and uterine lining looked good today, but my follicles are sooo small.

Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of this process? I assumed I would have had at least one decent follicle this month, but nothing...

Plus, I'm getting frustrated that I have to go back and spend another couple hundred bucks....

Follicles grow at about 1-2 mm per day therefore they could be getting ready to ovulate late and be ready by CD16/CD17. I would not worry about it too much as you will stillhave the scan Sat which could show a decent size follicle.

Thanks. This is all just so frustrating. I'm becoming extremely impatient. :)

I know what you mean! on my first Clomid cycle I had the follicle scan and day 21 bloods and as it seemed to work they wont give me any more. It was nice to know when I was due to ovulate last month so this month I am just hoping it continues to work x

how long after your scan at 14mm did you take the trigger shot? I think follies need to be at least 18mm on a medicated cycle to produce an egg so if they got you to trigger too soon, it would be no wonder that you ended up BFN.

As MrsChambers said the follies will continue to grow so it is still possible that you will get one that takes over and becomes big enough to trigger this cycle. Otherwise I would ask for your medication to be increased next cycle, you may just need a bit more to do the job! On my medicated cycles, I was stimmed with FSH, first cycle at 50ius was abandoned as I barely reacted at all. 2nd cycle at 100ius I had two follies at 14mm, carried on stimming and then triggered 3 days later. I think they still would have liked them to react more though as for my upcoming cycle I will be on 125ius. Sometimes it just takes a while to figure out the correct dosage.

I had my scan done on a Friday, follicle was at 14mm. I took Ovidrel on Tuesday (4 days later). So, I should've been at least 18mm....

This month we are going ahead with a second follicle scan, since at the first they were so small. I hope this month is our month b/c it gets expensive & frustrating.

Just wanted to update- had my scan this morning & follicles only at 11mm. They aren't growing appropriately, so I am seeing the RE on 8/02. Looks like I am definitely out this cycle and have to wait to see what he wants me to do....possibly a FSH?
