I am on clomid 100mg CD3-7. I went to have an ultrasound on CD11. It showed i have 11.9mm follicle on the right side and on the left side allso 11mm follicle. Now im on CD13 and i got an positive opk. :( Is there any chanses my follicles are ready to be released?

My FS said the body doesn't release eggs that aren't ready. But I've read differently on this site, so I'm not 100% sure. But after you see your surge in the LH strip (opk), you should O 24-36 hours later.

I did clomid cd 4-8 last month and this month. Today is cd12... my follicle scan today showed the dominant follicle at 15mm.. my doc says by cd12 she would have liked to see it at a 20 already. So im going back in 2 days... upping my dosage next month if no bfp this cycle.

I suspect that the follicles havent had time to grow enough. I'm so disappointed. But I do not understand why my doctor said everything looks really good. However, he did not know that I was going to ovulate on CD13. On the last day I took Clomid, I got vision problems and the doctor forbade me to take them in the next cycle. Next cycle I take Femara 2,5mg CD3-7.

So does it means that if my follicles wasnt ready I didnt O at all? Even though I had a lh-surge. Thats probably what has happend in my previous cycels without medications, I get my lh-surge always cd13-14 but the follicles isnt ready and doesnt releas a egg. Thats why my progesterone levels(taken CD23) are so bad?

The best way to see if you actually O'd is to use opks and temp. The temp shift is the real giveaway that O occured.

Hi Ladies can I join in please.

Firstly, I have pcos and found out in may.
I'm on cd12.
This is my first cycle using clomid. I took it day 2-6

Went for my follicle tracking scan, the nurse was very happy with what she found.

9mm lining
Left side i had one follicle was 27mm the next size on that same side was 13mm
Then on the right my doninant one was 12.5mm
I had lots of others just they were the biggest one.

She thinks O will be this weekend.
Does 27mm seem too big??

I have my blood test booked for 31st October to see whether I ovulated.
She said hopefully I just ovulate by myself and there will be no need to trigger and basically I'm off to a fab start. So I'm feeling really positive. Xx

Wow that is a big follie! I really don't know what is "too big"- I'm sorry to say. But your nurse is right, you should be happy because your body is responding to Clomid really well! (me too: my first round of it! CD12 showed 22mm, 19mm, 18mm, 16.5mm.) Fingers croseed for you!

To answer an earlier question- my RE said they are mature at 18-19mm and grow ~2mm per day. Not sure on the accuracy of that but it is what he told me! I'm sure everyone is different, too.

From what I've read it's too big and because I don't think I have O yet it will be way too mature by now. But the 12.5mm and 13mm which were my dominant ones must be a decent size now... come on O!!
The clomid is helping the follicles but I think I'm going to need the trigger to help O because I just don't think I'll gonna do it alone.

You have responded well too with them follicles... fingers crossed for your bfp... I have replied on the other thread but thought I'd reply here too x
