For those who are having cesareans, when did you get your date??

Hi ladies, I'm supposed to be having s cesarean but no idea when yet??

Got an app on 7th when I'll be 36 weeks and hoping to find out then. Is it normal to have to wait this long???

I hate not knowing and not being able to answer people when they ask how long I have left.

Also, do they normally book you in for 38 or 39 weeks???

i'll be getting my date at appointment week tuesday at 34 weeks and they usually do it at 39 weeks, you'll prob get date at next appointment x

Hiya,
last time I got my date at 36weeks and went in at 39 weeks.
This time I'll get my date at 36 weeks again (hospital policy) but they're looking at taking me in 10-14 days early.

I saw the registrar at my 24 week appointment, and she wanted to wait til 36 weeks before booking my section.

I explained to her that there is no option on it being a section as my previous 2 were sections, so asked to see my consultant that day, she came and booked it in straight away...am having it at exactly 39 weeks.

I was told at a 35 week appointment that my section will be on 12 Oct (38+ weeks) but the doctor has told me at previous appointments that the section will be around 10 days before EDD

Hey, They confirmed at 36 week app that I ill be having a c-sec and I had to wait till 37 weeks for appt to come through post, booked in for 39 weeks though x

I wasnt going to have a c-section with my first baby, but after a failed ecv at 38+5 thats the way it went.

I got my date at 38+5 for the c-section the following week at 39+3.

My hospital carries out electives from 39wks onwards.

I was offered a repeat c-section, which I declined, but I would have thought that if I did want one I would have had my date from early on...?

this is my 3rd section and I am still waiting for my date.

I ave an appt next week when I will be 34 weeks, should have been 2 weeks later but they changed it so hoping to get it next week.

First section was done at 37 weeks, 2nd at 38 weeks. All depends I think on what the surgeon has 'available'

I have just found out today (30+2) by their dates and I have been told they will bring me in at 34 weeks to have section at 36 if they can hold out that long! Eeek!

But I think standard procedure is to be told around 36 weeks xx

I would have had to wait until 34 wk appointment to find out but a midwife I had seen insisted I get given a date sooner so got my date at 25wks for section.at exactly 39wks. They called yesterday though to stay overbooked so got to wait 2 more days! Xx
