Forums and the amount of people viewing

I think about it every time I see it. When you are on BnB's homepage with the list of all the forums and it tells you (234 viewing) for example is this just members or members and guests?

I am assuming it is both but I am just curious

Also since BnB has changed I have noticed alot more advertisements around my screen, is this meant to be happening? Thanks x

I think it includes both because when you go into the forum and click on a thread it will show you how many members as well as how many guests are viewing that thread.

And the ads on the homepage are normal.
