I have one moonbeam (blue) Flip with organic cotton insert for £8 plus pp fees x

I was going to give some nappies a try on my little boy.

I like the idea of these i.e. changing the liner & re-using the outer (hoping that I'm right in that!)

Does anyone have any they are considering selling?
If so, what colour & price?

Oh & if anyone could be so helpful as to tell me how many outers & how many liners I'd need for a full time use that'd be great :)

And are they useable for night time use? Or will I need extra boosters?? LO sleeps from 7pm til aprox 6am (and usually does a dirty nappy when he wakes up... Sorry, bit TMI!)

Thanks xx

theres loads of advice in the natural parenting section. i have started using cloth about a month ago. i have 10 covers, 15 stay dry inserts, 6 organic inserts. i use them at night with an organic and stay dry on top and they last 12 hours and my LO is a heavy wetter- you missed some bargains online last week www.babame.co.uk were selling flip covers for £5.50, i think they still might have their 20% off till end of May (use code rnw11 at the checkout). you can also pick up some good bargains preloved here- thats what i did- i bought some here on bnb and then went online and bought more inserts.

I'm not sure how old your LO is but if he wees a lot at night you might not be able to make Flips last, we have never been able to since we started using them at 4 months, but that's no reason not to try! I would give them a go during the day first and see how you go. A fairly popular combination for nights amongst those who don't have very heavy wetters is an organic insert with a stay dry insert on top, sometimes with a Little Lamb bamboo insert in there too. You could try that.

Thanks Rachel, will keep my eye out for some.

I wouldnt say he's a big wetter since he only has 2 bottles a day now. But I dont know what a big wetter is for a cloth bum!!? Suppose I'll find out!
He was a big wetter before, sometimes I felt like a cruel mother changing his nappy on a morning & feeling the weight of it!!!

I will give them a try during day for def until my throw away nappies are used up, then poss move onto nights.

Hopefully they'll work cos I've just had to buy them new due to the lack of 2nd hand ones around!! But if they're no good then I'll just have to sell & move on to next ones!!

x
