TMI ALERT!

Ladies, I am a mess! 6 dpo today, went to use the toilet (#2) and noticed a couple bright red droplets of blood. At first I actually got excited thinking implantation maybe. Then I realized... it wasn't coming from my vagina!!! This is the first time this has ever happened to me. I have been a bit constipated the last 2 days but I have had constipation pretty often in the past and NEVER have had this.

Anyone have any experience with this?!
This is really embarrassing, but I figured someone might know something.

So stressful...

As long as the blood isn't in the movement itself it's likely just due to the constipation.

Could be a sign of internal hemorrhoids or even a small fissure (tear in the rectum from passing larger or harder movements).

If you started prenatal vitamins the extra iron in them could be what's causing the constipation. Upping your fiber intake via more fruits and veggies or even adding something like Miralax daily could help.

Freaky, but no big deal :)

Agree with Messica on this one. It has happened to me before and I freaked out. I went to my doc and she done and exam and it was due to larger/harder bowl movements. Sorry for TMI!

Oh my gosh, thank you so much for sharing your experiences and knowledge on this. The internet is so full of info the puts the worst case scenario right out there, and I am left wondering if I have colon cancer!

I feel much better. Thank you. :)

as tmi and embarrassing as this is to post on the internet, during my first tri i was really constipated- it started around 12 or 13 dpo and i ended up with a fissure that bled every time i had a bm. my doctor said to increase fiber and water intake and it would heal on its own- which it did.

Thank you! I actually have been slacking on the water intake this week... I should be drinking more anyway to stay hydrated.

Bleeding with every bm?! That must have been scary and uncomfortable. So glad it healed for you.

I appreciate you sharing that with me!!! :flower:

It's never happened to me but i hope it works out with the water. I'v been told to drink more water and more fiber due to taking extra iron.

Happened to me when I was pregnant, doctor said it was likely internal hemmorhoids.

Yep exactly!! Its gross I know... Definately more fiber and drink lots of water!!
