Hi girls..

I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby and must have at least 10-15 BH a day!!

They werent really painful until a couple of days ago and now they can be pretty intense.

Anyone else have them so often?

xx

I am getting roughly the same number too. Not painful but certainly uncomfy!! :hugs:

what do they feel like? im not sure if im having them or not xx

Mine feel like the whole of my bump goes very tight and rock hard to touch - feels like it is being squashed and tightened at the same time! Can last for a few minutes at a time.

Did you have them lots with 1st baby? Cos from reading other threads on here lots of people say they are much worse second time round! Might be worth mentioning to MW if they are painful though, but im sure its all normal!

Yeah thats how mine feel too, my stomach goes solid for a few minutes, it stops me in my tracks sometimes! I always seem to need a wee after too

I don't remember having them at all last time, if I did I'm sure I didn't really feel them.

Yes, I've had them everyday since around 17 weeks. Normally just uncomfortable but one or two have been a bit more than that recently!! MW says I must have an irritable uterus but nothing to worry about. I have a fibroid on the fundal wall which sticks out when I get hicks so i've to see the consultant next week to make sure its not gotten really big or gonna be a problem. I used to think it was the baby's foot I was feeling lol!

I have been getting them for ages and with each pregnancy they seemed to have got more and more and it makes me stop in my tracks when I get them. I find if I walk to quick or do too much they get worse. As long as they don't get really painful or start being regular like contractions then it sounds normal xxx

I had a mw appointment yesterday and mentioned that my tummy got really hard and uncomfortable quite frequently and she told me that is was bh- I didn't even know! Somedays, like yesterday it feels like I get them all day long and it gets so painful but other days like today I only get a couple xx

Yeah I tend to get them very often, they are much stronger this time round.

My bump really tightens and squeezes hard. It tends to take my breath away recently too and the they have began to get a little painful, the pain has also been spreading to my back (just how my labour felt!) but the pain is very mild.

I notice that the more I do, the more I get. If I walk, which I do everyday, to and from work, thats when I get them more.

Its all good practice though! I'm glad my body is practising and baby is getting used to being squished, at least it won't be a total shock when labour starts!

Sounds like its pretty normal then :D

I haven't had many today, unlike yesterday when I had about 10 in a n hour :nope:

But like you say I suppose its good practice for the real thing

Heeeell yeah, 100% right, my little one popped right out! All those BH paid off!

I get BH all the time and this is my second pregnancy. Never got it with my first (or I never noticed). It's normal. Apparently painful BH is due to either you not having enough fluids or you need a pee and don't realise. I should talk to your MW anyway hun.
