FRER not getting darker?

So i found out last wed that we are expecting. I have been testing everyday since then, but my tests arn't getting darker. They arn't getting lighter either but they don't seem to be progressing. Sunday I took a cb digi and i got pregnant 1-2 so i thought things were going ok, but took a test again this morning and it isn't any darker than it was on the first day I got my pos. Every test i've taken has taken forever to show up too, like over a min. I've always used FMU, are we going to loose this baby?

I'm not sure. I'm sorry you're having a hard time. Can you try smu? That always worked better for me. It's been six days so I'd think you'd see a bit of progression by now, but everyone is different. Could you call your doctor and get bloods run?

Hey cckarting. How far along should you be. My FRER stayed very similar looking from 10dpo to 13dpo and once I was around 16 dpo + they had some amazing progression and by 21 dpo the test took most of the ink from the control line. I panicked myself but all was fine.

Yeah^ how far along? It took time in the beginning for me to see progression...I was seeing some, but it wasn't blazing.

umm.....not entirely sure. My last af was April 25th and my cycle runs around 34-36 days. so i'm guessing I O'd the 18th? So that would be 15dpo today? But i'm not sure that can be right because i'm late for my af by 8 +or- a day??

you are about 5 weeks 3 days along according to the first day of your last period

Yes, I would think they would be dark, but if you don't know when you ovulated...if you didn't temp, there's really no way to know, so you could be earlier. But I would think they should be darker at 15dpo, or at least progressing.

No I have no idea, we weren't trying. We were trying the rhythm method because it took us 2 yrs to conceive our last and had to use clomid, so didn't think we needed anything more than the method. I'm so confused on what's going on, they just stay the same. It's an alright line, nothing you have to squint at, but not getting darker either.....

If you have a 34 - 36 day cycle then if you went for a scan now I highly highly doubt you would actually be 5 weeks and 3 days. I have a 30 day cycle and ovulate around day 19 - 20! You could be as little as 4 weeks! I got my first bfp at 3 weeks and 3 days (by LMP I would have been 4weeks and 3days). You can't worry yourself and assume your test should be darker than it is. If I went by my LMP I would have also been 5 weeks and still getting faint tests. Please don't worry yourself about it too much. Go to the doctors do a blood test and get a referral for a scan. That's the only way to know how far you are for sure if you were not tracking ovultion. Best of luck!

but in american we got by first day of last period so you would be technically 5 weeks 3 days. but for about two weeks and four days of that you wouldnt actually be pregnant not until ovulation. thats just how doctors do it here.

That's how it's done everywhere, not just in the US. What she was referring to was the fact that she doesn't have a typical cycle. Most women ovulate around cd14, but she doesn't. That's why usually everyone goes with the first day of your last period, because they assume we are all typical regarding our cycles. Then there's a dating scan and they can just readjust the dates (if needed). For example, the first day of my last period was 21st of march. I should be 10 weeks and 4 days. The thing is, I know exactly when I ovulated because I was temping and charting, and I'm pretty sure I ovulated one day earlier than the usual. So I'm pretty sure I'm 10 weeks and 5 days today and in a few weeks on my 12 week scan, they will be able to tell me accurately how far along I am.

If she only ovulates around cd19, even though they will follow the rule of first day of last period, she knows she is probably far behind that and that she really is 4 weeks and something.

Can you try another digi? or post photos of your tests here?

oh okay im knew to this and i thought thats how it worked for everyone not just people who ovulated on cycle day 14 so thank you for informing me
so basically if there is more than two weeks between the first day of your period and your ovulation then they try to pinpoint when you ovulated/when egg was fertilized and then from that date count back two weeks?

Yes, basically. The only reason most people go with the first day of last period is because they don't know when they ovulated. But if you know for sure, I would go with that. You will have your dates confirmed either way on your 12 week scan (at least in the uk it's on your 12 week scan, I don't know if it's earlier in other countries).

i think here it is 8-10 weeks when they do a scan but im not positive i think it varies on your health care provider and doctor and of course situation and history ect

My avatar is the darkest pos I've gotten. Sunday I got a positive 1-2 on a clear blue digi, and before that I had a negative on the digi, but my frers haven't changed, and it takes almost a min to see a second line. Probably just going crazy over nothing. I was just hoping someone else would say they had the same problems with the test thanks ladies!

im jealous of your scan on the 11th i have my first on the 19th well first prenatal appointment with a midwife through kaiser
i hope they do a scan
and im 5 weeks 2 days according to first day of my last period (26th of april)

Thanks bridge! We are very close in due dates! My dr always does an early scan, although I'll probably have to have another depending on how far along I am…I just want to hear the hb already

i confirmed with my doctor that she does do an informal scan at the first appointment
meaning it is done in her office not over at radiology
im soooo excited! i want to hear a heartbeat too and she also said we should be able to by then
