Just a quick question ladies, I'm flippin out a bit!! I made carrot/potato puree for Linds... um... 4 days ago and had it stored in the fridge, gave mil the last jar for her lunch today (while I'm at work)... am I poisoning my baby?!?!!? Is that too long!?? Surely there isn't anything in there that can go 'off' or..????
Help!
thx!

I'm sure it'll be fine! I make mine and then freeze them so I can take it out the night before but I can't imagine there's anything in there that will go off. Don't worry hon! :hugs:

I'd probably do what LU28 does, freeze & defrost day before. All food jars usually say keep refridgerated no longer than 48hrs after opening. But i wouldnt worry too much! If not sure ask your HV XX

I freeze and defrost when i want them. microwave has defrost option, or i stick it in my bag in the morning for lunch same day. Not sure on leaving it that long in fridge though

just had a google, and most places state 3 days in airtight container.

"A good guideline for any stored prepared or cooked foods in the refrigerator is 3 days. If Its not used up by then, then throw it out. Better to be safe than sorry. Raw veggies can last a lot longer than cooked veggies. If you dont think you can use leftovers up within 3 days, then freeze them. It only takes a few minutes to thaw them out when you are ready to use them."

dont worry too much hun but i would not store it for 4 days in the fridge, like the others have said, i make my batch up cool it and freeze it asap then defrost and heat well in microwave when needed x

I woudl store for 3 days tops hun, but its not a biggie, you havent poisoned her yet

I usually freeze them up and then defrost as i need them
