Any sort of roasted veg in stick form is great - roasted carrots, roasted parnsips (these were our daughter's first foods on the very first day she started), steamed or roasted broccoli is another good one as it's easy to hold, roasted courgette sticks, roasted sweet potato, roasted or boiled potatoes are also good, raw cucumber sticks, avocado slices (slippery but give them a try) basically anything you can cut so it has a handle to hold on to is ideal at this age while they are still working out how to pick things up and hold them well.
Same sort of idea with fruit, though I also cut some fruits in half which I felt helped with holding on to them. So melon sticks are good, stone fruit like nectarines, plums, peaches cut in hand sized halves or quarters with stone removed obviously, bananas (I usually cut them into 3-4 thumb length pieces), slices of softer ripe fruits like pears (you might peel them to make them easier to bite and chew).
Basically the options are endless once you get the hang of what shapes and sizes are the best ones for your LO to manage to pick up. I did a lot of wandering around the fruit and veg section at the store trying to envision what things would be nice and would lend themselves well to being stick shaped or fist size. Also, things like avocado or banana or even sweet potato lend themselves to being mashed and then spread on toast fingers. We did a lot of avocado on toast for breakfast at that age.
