My LO is 3 weeks old now & is very happy & content during the day. By 7-8pm, depending on even she wakes, she is like a different child. She cries constantly, unless feeding. I'm sure she'd be on my boob all night until bedtime if she could. Come 10:30-11ish she's settled down for bed & does her usual 4-5 hours between her feeds overnight. She just has her 3-4 hours of being really unsettled in the evening before bedtime. Could this be a growth spurt? She's been like it for almost a week & as she's only like it for those 3-4 hours, I assumed it's not a growth spurt because I thought they only lasted a couple of days, & surely she'd feed constantly throughout the day & overnight? I've also read about a witching hour - could that be what we are going through? I'd so does it last long? It makes our evenings very difficult & my poor dh only gets evenings with her but doesn't get the time he would like because she's on my boob so much!

It could be a growth spurt, my lo is also 3 weeks and recently started doing the same thing!!!

Yeah, my LO used to clusterfeed from 10pm-7am. It's normal during growth spurts/before your supply regulates.

It's a growth spurt/cluster feeding. Mine was like this at three weeks - from 7-10 she would cry, catnap and feed, before falling asleep for the night. It lasted a few weeks to varying degrees, gradually she started going to sleep for the night earlier and earlier and one night it just didn't happen at all. It's pretty crap while it's happening, but hang in there and you'll get through it.
