Gassy but will not always burp.

We had a trying time last night with lo she is one week old and she cried for hours she was dry fed and burped a few times but possibly not enough. She spit up nearly every feeding she had yesterday which worrys me. In that case do we feed her again because she lost some? or wait a bit? Also a friend recomended baby ovol for trapped gas which i think it is just wont come out. But im not sure we should give it to her until we speak to her doctor which is a week and a day away. not sure i can watch her suffer that much. Need help deciding what I should do. Call the doctor? she seems pretty busy. unsure if she would take a call..

should say also she falls asleep and wont wake to burp.

I don't really know what to suggest Hun, my baba is 12 days old and also doesn't always burp, she'll awake a few hrs later in agony... I give her infacol and so far it has helped but like u I'm at a loose end! I often spend up to 2hrs trying to wind her, by which time she'll get an hrs sleep n will want feeding again...

Have you tried changing the position to burp. Sometimes we lay the baby back and sit up a few times and then go back to burping and it seems to help. Baby doesn't have to be awake when you burp BTW. They will burp even asleep.
