Gender confusion

I went for a sonogram at 16 almost 17 weeks at an ultrasound place not at my doctors office. They woman said girl then she said boy. I've been looking at some other pictures people have posted of their girl that got confused for a boy and it looks similar to mine. Can someone tell me the difference ? We go again at 20 weeks to my doctor and they can determine then they said

I know someone else that theirs looks like mine too and she's having a girl. Why do they look so similar? I'm so confused

Thanks for looking! Yeah I agree they both look boy but my friend is for sure having a girl that's what's so confusing to me and that's one of her pictures next to mine

Wow, was your friend's ultrasound at the same gestation? Which one is yours or hers?

These things are never 100%. Each image is captured different from the next so really nothing is set in concrete until that baby comes out. Look how many people have the gender confirmed and get a massive surprise at the birth. I'm sure it doesn't happen very often at all but sonographers are only human, so have to allow for human error from time to time..

Yeah pretty much around the same week give or take a few days. Mine is on the left. I go for my 20 week sono next Tuesday so maybe I'll have more clarity but you're right you never, mistakes can be made

On second thought, when you actually click on your pics to make bigger, the bit that protrudes at the end could be something else because of the angle the images were taken (ie a hand) therefore the actual part where the genitals are might just be a little swollen but added with the extra bit it makes it look like a boy.

This actually could go either way...will be interesting to see!

The first pics, I don't know which one is yours but they do both look like boys but when you look closely the one on the right does seem to be slightly in the wrong place is that the girl one? I bet it isn't Good luck with some clear answers for your next scan!

Thanks! I actually have another comparison with someone else who was told girl but looks exactly like my photo too. Guess we will see next week hopefully!

I have to second six pigs, now that I look back on the second pic it does seem like it has shifted to the side. So now Idk lol
