Well I think I've found the reception venue of my dreams, and they're giving us a discount because our wedding will be out of season (twice over - it's a Friday in early April!) and because of the short lead time. We're booking it in the next week, when we've fingured out exactly what options we want, and then I will tell you all where it is but I don't want to jinx it by saying beforehand!
The "test dress" pictures have arrived from the dressmaker, and it is going to look lovely, though whether I'll do it justice or not is another question!
I'm going to be sending our invites out in the New Year, so I need to get that sorted.
We've decided to stay for a few days at a local moated manor house hotel as the start of our honeymoon, then go abroad for a week, totalling ten days together. I'm glad because it will give me a chance to breathe and relax before travelling again.
