Getting FOB a christmas gift from LO..

Is anyone getting the FOB a gift from their son/daughter?
What would you think is a good gift to get?

FOB asked me today if there is anything I want "from Leah" for Christmas... I guess someone has told him he should get something so I guess I should do the same.

I was thinking hand-print type things would be good.

I didn't know whether to or not but I have decided not! Lol.

I just got him a card for fathers day & his birthday but when it was my birthday I didn't get anything, so I have decided not to bother with it.

My mum always get me stuff "from LO" so his mum can do the same

I did a scrap book, with photos and panting from nursery etc. He always gets me stuff for birthday etc. I cant really afford much so thought a keep sake would be better

FOBs birthday was a few days ago and i got him a 'daddy' photo frame, put a photo in it and got a box of chocs too...he loves it xx

I wont be getting anything. Not even a card.
But then he didn't get a birthday or fathers day card either.
I'm going to send his Mum and Dad and Sister ones from LO though

think it depends on how well you get on with FOB.

I ony got that present for Abbys dad because we are good friends. As for Ailahs dad all he would get for Christmas is a dam restraining order and a punch in the face lol xxx

Totally.
FOB is a total d*ck.
No contact with him at all.
His family have done nothing wrong so they will get a card but they haven't bothered making an effort either.

It makes my blood boil that people do that to children... especially at this time of year!! some people need to get a heart....

They really are.
But when I stopped them seeing LO, I don't understand why his family didn't bother to get in touch.
I think that's shocking!

Ive never stopped ailahs FOB's parents and family seeing her, in fact i encouraged it! said they were always welcome to come round for a coffee and see her... They are a close knit family though and are standing by HIM. They dont realise they are cutting off their nose to spite their face...x

I stopped FOB seeing LO in March and haven't heard a thing from his family apart from the birthday cards last month Fair enough they would feel awkward but I really think they could at least have contacted me to find out how she is x

thanks guys, ~Daisychain~ I seem to remember your post about birthday cards at the time so I completely understand why you wouldn't give FOB anything.. and I think you are a better person than me for sending cards to his family too after their vague attempts at contact with the birthday cards.

You girls truly are fab mummies! Sometimes that is all our LOs need.

BTW, I have found a frame that has room for a photo and handprints so I am going to do that and give it to him for Christmas. We are doing ok at the moment, friendship-wise so I think it will be ok.

Carry on ranting if you like girlies.. these FOBs can make us sooo mad! lol

Same! I got him a christmas present, a birthday present and a fathers day card and pressie all from LO and he's got me nothing, and didnt even get LO a birthday present! So he's getting sod all.

But since your FOB is getting you something then i guess it makes sense to get him something too. I'd do some personalised by LO, like you know you can get those DIY kits where you put LOs handprint or foot prints in a bit of clay? That can be quite nice, or a picture 'draw' by LO (put a crayon in their hand and help them draw on a piece of paper lol) so it's something cheap and easy and something personalised by LO
Also, a nice picture of LO in a picture frame is quite a good idea too! x

my ex didnt bother with xmas last year for the kids on my eldest 3rd but sent a card for his 4th with a letter to me in it. he doesnt acknowledge that kai exists so im the same as carolyn that i would give him a restraining order and a punch but i would let her punch him - she has alot more anger for my ex than i do lol

me and my ex split up 2 days before my last birthday, didnt even get a text from him! did get a card from his weirdo parents with a letter enclosed saying they were so sorry we had split up and could they still see the children (the youngest still wasnt born) keep in touch etc etc - that was in Jan and i havent heard from them since even when i gave birth! so wont be wasting a stamp on them either.

ex ignores the fact youngest dd exists too so yes, all he will get from me is a smack in the face with a spade or something equally heavy and blunt.

when it was DD1's birthday he didnt send a card or anything but he keeps everything seperate at his house so i wouldnt know what he bought her. he even has a seperate set of clothes for her there. must be a bit confusing for her she is only 2?

wonder if he will get anything for DD2? he has no contact with her at all so just waiting to see if he is going to ignore her completely.

Yeah, I havnt spent loads tho, I got him like a lynx set, a shower radio and some chocolates lol! I won't get anything of LO from him but I feel bad that he gets no other presants! x
