Getting married means I MUST be preggo

This really pissed me off.

I'm young, and getting married quickly. We fell in love the night we met, and just knew it was meant to be. So we're getting married on the 27th of this month, we've been together 6 months. We've never been happier.

Anyway, one of my moms friends said 'Oh, you're daughter's getting married at 20? She's pregnant, right?' Only it wasn't a question. My mom said 'Actually, no, and ya know what, she has a disease that will make it really hard to get pregnant.' I was like 'go mom'. But really, why assume that I'm pregnant just because I'm getting married? Or even if you're going to assume, why ASK??

The whole time my mom was telling me this story I was just thinking about how much I WISH I was pregnant. I wish I could get pregnant the first time we ever tried on our honeymoon. That's what I've wanted ever since I was a little girl. But it's not going to happen that way. So I almost wish the reason we were getting married WAS because I'm knocked up, lol. This hurt me on two separate levels, it's just so weird. UGH.

People are narrow minded and insensitive. They don't realise how much comments hurt sometimes and fail to see the goodness in things, thinking that there must always be another reason.

Some ppl are jus sooo rude!!

Me and my Fiance got engaged quickly and im 28 and he is 29, but cos we love eachother! i will struggle 2 get pg cos i have pcos but that dnt stop us wantin 2 spend the rest of r lives 2gether! makes me mad when ppl think fast love cnt exist if babies arent involved! for some of us, babies are far away but love is here to stay ;-)

I met my husband in 2006 (I was 15, he 18) he lived in the US, I lived in the UK. I met him for the first time IRL in April this year and we got married in July... Everyone seemed to assume I was pregnant! Now that I am pregnant everyone seems to assume it was a mistake! People just aren't worth it... At least you can say you got married for the right reasons (eg being in love) and that just because you're young doesn't mean you only get married because you 'have' to... I hope you have a Beany to join you soon

I got engaged at 19 and will be getting married in April when I'll still be 21. My mum told me that after she'd told people back in Cardiff, where I'm from originally, that somehow a rumour went around all the people that we know in some way shape or form that I was pregnant and she can only assume that it's because people assumed it from hearing that I was engaged quite young, especially considering that I didn't seem the type to settle down when I left for uni and I didn't spend enough time in Cardiff for people to realise how much I've changed! I just laughed it off, but these are people that I never see. It was hurtful though to know that people were assuming things about me, especially considering that they don't really know me!

My brother was 20 and his wife was 18 when they got married 3 years ago.

They are now 5 months pregnant

Well me and OH have been together for 6 years and in Sept this year we finally set a date for the wedding so people were joking saying oh you must be pregnant. Well it turns out that I was pregnant (only just!)and must have concieved a year to the day of us getting married!
