Getting tattoo of LO name

I am getting a tattoo of my LO name on my wrist. I also want to incorporate a little rose into it too... LO name is Amelia Rose. Only small and on the inside of my wrist (something which can be covered by a watch or something for work if needed). I just can't for the life of me find a pic of exactly what I want. Does anyone else have this done (if so, please post pics) or know of any sites that I can get idea's from?

(I know tattoo's are not everyone's cup of tea, so please no posts saying I shouldn't do it, thanks.)

didnt jsut want to read and run, that sounds lovely. I have Sophies name on the inside of my wrist with a butterfly, its quite big, a watch wouldnt hide it!

I want one on my foot. I already have a small star there and I want LO's name underneath it but I havent decided where to get it done yet. Would maybe like to add a few more stars around it too. Will be watching this thread

My LO is also called Amelia. I was gonna get "Mia *" put onto the inside of my wrist (the * being a heart) for free too cause my friend owns a tattoo shop and I gave him some wii games and he wanted to pay me back in ink and my MIL put up such a fight about her opinion on it I cancelled the appointment and am now not getting it done. =(

nice idea, though depending on how small you want it, be aware that the rose may turn into a blob in a few years!! anything smaller than a 10p will bleed into a blob (and even at the size of a 10p it wud need to be incredibly simple!) try www.bmeink.com for ideas!

That's nice. My MIL is against tattoo's but hey, it's your body! What would she do if you just got it?

I like clever ones! DH is getting one with an ambigram incorporated into it. It reads the same upwards and upside down.

F that. Why are you worried about what your MOTHER IN LAW thinks? Shes not even your real mom. Its your body and if you want to put your kids name on your wrist do it! I have a half sleeve and my own mothers tattoo on my arms and I'd be damned if anyone voiced an opinion on my body.

I wanted Jake's name but I decided to get a black star (For OH) and a blue one for Jake, slightly smaller, on my wrist

I want 2 more children so figured I only have two wrists haha! At least this way I can add more on, pink for a girl and blue for a boy xx

She would pick at it. She's a LOVELY lady, ;like a mum to me, but she's been awful lately, in really "I couldn't be arsed" moods.

If I went and got it done she would probably pick at the fact I'd done it in conversations, and hardly talk to me.

When she said she didnt' approve she then move donto tlaking about picking me up from having my implant done and my SIL wlaked in and went "Where ya picking her up from? Her tattoo?"

and MIL replied "I wouldn't pick her up, or drop her off, or let anyone of you meet her after having THAT done"

Nah, she's not my mum, but she's the closest I have to it.

I didn't not do it because of how she felt, I didn't do it because her opinion kinda stopped me being excited and brought the whole thing down for me.

I'm not anti tattoo but I never thought anything would be permanent enough to get tattooed on me.

but your own baby's name would definitely be that thing.
