I don't think being poorly will affect the result, just might make you feel worse and grumpier when fasting! Call them to check though!

I was ok. Took a sandwich for the way home. Got to wait 2 days for my results. Had my whooping cough jab too so I have 3 bruises on my arms!!!

Koifish welcome to the group Lemme know the dates so I can add u to the list , I knw this test sucks pretty bad hated mine too but when I passed I was so relieved!!!

Hi can I join please? I have mine on the 22nd June at 26 weeks. Kind of glad to be having it as I just have an inkling that I do have GD

What symptoms are u having btw cuz I read it's not easily detectable!!
 
I could be totally wrong just extreme thirst/tiredness, dizzy spells and constantly needing to wee. All sound like normal pregnancy symptoms but mine are on another level.

Hi sorry I've moved over to 3ed tri but had my gtt. this morning get the results tomorrow after 2! It was fine even tho I had my 2 year old with me she occupied me to help the time go faster!! Anyone else's LO come alive in the afternoon?? Lady hour he's gone crazy, calms down if I sit down and rub my belly. Think it's because I was hungry when I got in so ate!! Had nothing this morning so all his calories at once!! Will keep u all posted!!
 
I'm so nervous about this!

They'll be doing my testing on June 12 at 24 weeks on the dot. It'll be 7:45am when I do the drink, so I don't think I'll have time to eat anything before. The fun part is that I'll be going in for an ultrasound at 8am to check to make sure her heart is okay (one of my sisters had a congenital heart defect), so I expect we'll get to see her going nuts in there! :haha:


I'm really worried I wont be able to keep the drink down, though. I have the choice between orange and fruit punch. But the thought of an overly syrupy version of either makes me nauseous!
 
Well my doctor's office is ridiculous and won't give me results without an appointment. They said he would have called if he needed to so you can put me down for a pass:) Thanks!

Dang! What was that a 24 hour turn around? I really want to know if I passed and am too nervous to call the docs office since its literally been 24 hours... LOL

I was really dreading the drink!! It really wasnt that bad at all and it was small! I was expecting a huge nasty drink... Luckily mine was cold too but I downed it in less then 1 minute. I did get really bad heartburn from it but nothing a heartburn pill couldnt take care of.
 
Can you add me in? I take it this is the gestational diabetes test? I'm being tested because I am on regular steroid medication that can cause it apparently. Mines only 2 hours tho. And I have to take my own lucozade drink to drink?

Mines the 16th June x
