We're going to England next month for my nephew's christening. What do i do about Rocco's feds? Will be staying in a hotel and i don't have a travel steriliser. Will i need one? Don't know what to do about his bottles. Was thinking about picking up the cartons of SMA white instead of bringing powder but what i am supposed to do about bottles. Am so confused.

I don't know how long you're going to be over in England for or how many bottles you would need, but places like Mothercare & Boots do packs of ready-sterile bottles......the link below is from Mothercare, a pack of 12 bottles for £8.

I think you literally just unwrap the bottle & make the feed, then bin the bottle when you're done. Would these be any good? You could always bring one pack with you, then nip to a shop for extras while you're here if you needed them.

Be careful with them. Caitlyn won't drink out of them because they taste funny. Try one out first.

Can you get travel cold water sterilisers? I guess that would be the other option if your LO doesn't like the ready sterile bottles.

I'm going away on Sunday and plan on taking my steriliser with me. Will make up a days worth of bottles before we go, and do what I normally do at home in the hotel in the evening

Would be such a hassle bringing my sterliser on a flight trying to get away with hand luggage only as i'm only away 2 nights. Those bottles are a brilliant idea will test them out before i go tho.
Thanks girls.

I took my baby to a wedding in Donegal, we took his normal bottles and some cartons of formula, and sterilised the bottles by making a cold water steriliser from milton tablets and a jug from borrowed from the hotel bar. One milton tablet dissolves in 5 litres of water to make the sterilising solution so we used half a tablet in a jug. The bottles are sterile after 15 mins. So you would just need to take the tablets with you.

Thanks jenstar had look at those today and i think thats what we are going to with. Such a cheaper alternative since we will only be away 2 nights. Btw where abouts in N.I are you?

I'd say take your steriliser or milton tablets - failing that you can put them in a pan of boiling hot water and boil them for around 15 mins - it will all do the same job. My daughter wouldnt take them sterile bottles either.
