Now just so everyone knows, me and my husband have been trying to conceive for two years with no success  and we don't smoke or drink.
Anyway to cut a long story short I had an ultrasound scan on my womb at the hospital last week and the doctor doing the ultrasound told me "Everything is fine, but see your GP next week for the full scan results." :dohh:

Has anybody ever been told everything is fine there and then and then gone to the GP only to be told it isn't?

Personally I suspected I had PCOS because my AF is dreadfully painful and heavy every month, and I have very bad acne at certain points, however unless I have a stressful month, my cycle is regular. :nope:

Hubby has had a sperm test, he is fine, so it looks like its me :haha: maybe I shouldn't have pestered him so much to get one done.
We are relaxed about TTC but it hasn't helped us. I have been pregnant once before last year which took us by surprise, but miscarried soon after AF was due.

Now who is my GP again...

:coffee:

That's weird. I would have thought that the person doing the scan could tell you there and then what is going on, at least, that's how it was for me. When I was diagnosed with PCOS the woman doing it just said "yep, textbook PCOS!" I did go back to my consultant to talk about it, but basically the scan lady told me everything I needed to know.

PCOS doesn't necessarily give you heavy and painful periods, and if you are generally regular then it sounds relatively hopeful that you don't have it. Although it is a funny thing - you can be lumped in the PCOS 'bag' if you have problems that they can't quite pin down. You can have no cysts but symptoms, or symptoms and no cysts... it's not a very well-understood condition.

It's always worth getting your other half checked out since it's so much easier to test the man :) So don't feel bad about it! At least it is one less thing to worry about.

Hi, I had my scan last week and we get the results of all our tests and our way forward tomorrow, however at the time of the scan they did explain where the follicles were and that everything looked fine. Try not to worry until you are given the facts... I know its easier said than done!

:flower:

If the tech says it's fine, it probably is. When they say 'get the full scan results', it usually just means that you're going to sit down with your dr and he will fully explain what they were looking for and that everything seems fine. At that point, he will probably discuss your options and decide what comes next.

I know how hard this is....hang in there!
