The other day I got a call from the dr one of the results from the stool sample came in on my three yr old he tested positive for an amoeba he told me to call the pittsburgh dr and I did still waiting for a call back on what to do and things but tgis specific type of parasite comes from tropical climates which we have never been to. Anyone have any ideas as to how he could have gotten it? The dr did say it may mean something or it may mean nothing so I'm sitting on edge waiting for a call from the pittsburgh office.

Did they say what the amoeba was called? Wondering if its something that could be spread by animals or birds to have gotten to your location. Hope your son gets better soon!

ETA: or possibly on fruits or something shipped from tropical region? Dunno, just thinking.
