I'm really worried I'll pass it to LO! I've just got the start of it so am taking Vicks First Defence. Washing hands & using anti bac gel goes without saying. Is there anything else I can do to stop her getting it?

She didn't have breathing issues at birth and was off the nasal cannula within days. So I'm hoping if she does get it it'll be mild.

Is there anything else I can do?

If your LO is eating breastmilk, she won't necessarily catch your cold because of the antibodies in your milk. I've had some sinus issues since baby came home and he hasn't caught anything from me or my husband yet! :) Also, it's much better for babies to build up their immunity from your germs, than some stranger's germs.

Didn't think of the BM-she's mainly on that so hopefully that'll do the trick. Thanks :flower:

As a Nurse I can tell you the absolute number one way to prevent the spread of illness is through proper handwashing. So I would say just constantly wash your hands really good and that should do the trick! My little one is still in the NICU so I felt like I was coming down with something and went to the Doctor straight away and got antibiotics and stayed away for a day. In your case, I would say just wash your hands really good and you should be fine! ;)

Thanks ladies. The first defence seemed to do the trick. Burnt my nostrils to hell, but did what it said on the tin so to speak :D
