so i was talking to my mum about what to bring to the hosp and she said i have to bring my own sheets for the baby and my own toilet roll aswell as aload of other stuff you would expect a hospital to provide il have to bring my own epidural and train OH to be a midwife next :L

Thats crazy! We didnt even have to bring diapers, or bottles or anythingfor baby!

My hospital provides milk if you're not breastfeeding, clothes for the baby to wear in hospital, towels, sheets, toilet roll etc etc. The only thing you need to take in for baby is nappies! And for yourself pads, clothes etc. Your hospital sounds stingy

That's redic! We got toilet roll, towels, bottles & milk, nappies, cotton wool, they even changed his top when I popped out the ward because he was sick on it and we got to keep it..

thats what my mums friend had to bring when she had her baby a few weeks ago

Id have been soooo grateful if someone had brought me a roll of Andrex in! - hospital toilet roll is VILE!

You wont need sheets, they make lovely little beds for the babies - well did in my hospital anyway!

Yikes! Our hospital provided everything, BUT, they charged our insurance company an arm and a leg for it all. We got our LO a soothie pacifier while in the hospital (which she didn't like) and when we got home we saw that they charged $30 for it! $5.00 per Ibuprofen I took and $5 for the ONE prenatal vitamin I took while there.

Thank God for insurance....
