Gripe Water

Midwife sugested that I try giving him a little Gripe Water on an evening but looking in the shops today it says from 1mth.Has anybody used it under a month old?.My midwife has now signed me off and not meeting HV untill Friday so have no-one else to ask.x

when i had wind problems with Layla under 1 month I used infacol as that's from birth. I didn't use gripe water for that reason so not sure

You can use infacol and colief from birth I believe.

You can use dentinox from birth too and can mix it in there bottle so it's easier to give

I used gripe water from 3weeks at full dose.

same - instead of the suggested 1 teaspoon for 1 month I did 1/2 teaspoon at 3 weeks.

My bottle says Under 1 month - 1/2 tsp

My midwife suggested putting a bit on his dummy for under 1 month, didnt do anything so gave him full dose.

He loves the stuff and a bit on his dummy before bed gets him right off to sleep =]

I have been wondering the same thing, as mia gets terrible wind but didnt know if I should risk giving her it until she was a month.

I was going to give Oliver some a few nights ago but decided against it till he is a month old, DH wasn't happy either. We have been using Infacol from the start and it really works but can cause constipation, which he now has so can't wait for a few days to give it a go. Take care XX
