Growth scan vs fundal height question

1cm isn't anything to worry about. but with my youngest i was told to expect a big baby and my other babies were big and i measured 5cms ahead for third trimester. she was born at 39 weeks exactly and was 7lbs 1.5oz my smallest baby so not big at all. tape measure and scans arn't always accurate.

My FH was always much bigger towards the end. With my first I was 42cm at 36 weeks and he was 8lb 3oz born the day after his due date. With my daughter I don't remember all of the measurements but I was 33cm or 35cm at 28 weeks and she came 3 days early at a diddy 7lb 1oz! It can also change with baby's position. With my first as I said I was 42cm at 36 weeks but he then engaged slightly and I was 39cm at 39 weeks!

Hey Hun fundal height is wildly inaccurate. It changes depending on who does it, how babies lying, if your bloated or anything, full bladder etc etc

I measured 4/5 weeks ahead with ds1 the whole way through being a bigger lady. Had growth scans that all put him on higher centiles apart from his legs. Told 8lb minimum at due date. He was born 40+6 at 5lb 14oz. Both methods can be very unreliable.

Can't remember with ds2. Ds3 though I measured two weeks ahead and was told he'd be a bigger bubba than I'd had (5lb 14oz and 7lb 8oz). I had growth scans right through as I had gd. I was booked into q scan at 36+5 but never made it because o went into labour lol. He was born that day at 6lb 8oz xx

Thanks ladies.

I had my growth scan & estimated weight on that day was 6lb 8oz with an estimated weight of 8.5lbs at term or just under 9lb if I go the full 42 weeks. It'll be interesting to see what what she actually weighs when she gets here but those weights work for me! Even if it is off and she winds up being bigger/smaller in my head an 8lb baby is doable because I've done that before if that makes sense?
