Guesses please!! 12+2 scan :-)

Hey everyone, I can't even tell where the nub is and I'm a doctor haha so this is just for fun. What do we think? Baby boy or girl? If you could tell me why you think one or the other I can play looking at other scans too!!

My guess was based on nothing factual at all. I don't really buy into skull theory and I can't see a nub, so at this point I would be more inclined to go with your gut. Mothers intuition can be powerful, even if it isn't always right. Best of luck at your next scan!

I'm (hopefully) finding it next week. On my thread (which also had no obvious gender markers) the overwhelming majority guessed boy too. I've spent a lot of time looking at skulls from 12(ish)-week scans where gender was later confirmed... and I just don't see enough of a pattern to allow skull theory to carry much weight. It really could go either way. That's what I'm banking on, at least. LOL

My guess is based on nothing other than what I thought when I first looked at the picture, no skull or nub theory, just a guess so it could definitely be a girl. When I was pregnant I put up a photo of my scan and every single person said I was having a girl. Taj is very much a boy...

Here you go..this was 13 wks...Isme I put the pic on ingender and 16 people said girl. I think on here some said boy some said girl..

Thank you! How funny that they were so unanimeusly wrong on ingender. Lol. He's a cutie, though. (Then and now.) I wonder if his nice round skull is what they were looking at on the other website, because I don't really see a nub in his scan pic. I also think that gestation has a lot to do with skull shape. His skull was nice and round, but you say he was 13 weeks. The skull gets rounder as the pregnancy progresses, and by the time babies hit 20 weeks, they all seem to have a nice round nugget. I would say that 13-weekers have rounder heads anyway.

My scan was done at 11 weeks exactly, which is really early. The poor bean had a slightly odd shaped skull (which looks completely different in each of the three pictures I got), but I really think that has more to do with his/her age rather than gender.

Thank you, we think he's pretty cute hehe we're bias though of course! You can't see a nub? Isn't it the long white thing half way between he's knees & the yellow marker? I thought that was the nub & pretty obvious? I could be wrong though lol. I think from memory I was 12+4 in the scan, it was the nuchal scan so between 12 & 13 wks I can't remember if I guessed on your gender prediction post, will have to have a look!
