had my 21 week scan yesterday! *pics included*

and we're having a GIRL aparently!
I don't think the lady was going to even have a look until I asked her to, and she said "it's not a garantee" had a look then said "looks like a girl"
I said "a girl?" just so she'd look again and again she said looks like a girl.
I am over the moon as I secretly wanted a girl but I feel paranoid that it could be wrong!
has anyone had an NHS scan and been told the wrong gender?
anyway I'm so happy our baby is healthy and it was magical seeing her again. here are the pics.

aw cute! I was told girl at my 20 week scan too. She seemed pretty sure! They had just got a brand new machine and it was SO clear you would not believe! I couldnt see any trace of boy bits! Im just booked a 4d scan so im going to get them to check for me to be sure. In 3d they cant possibly get it wrong! x

i know a girl was told 95% girl but she had a boy but i think u may be safe with girl hun

I'm super pleased! I can now call her by her name, Alexa
I'm going to see if I can scrape the money together for a 4D scan to put my mind at rest, a place near me is doing them for £70

It is more possible to mistake a girl for a boy than a boy for a girl if that makes sense but there's never a guarantee, I don't think she would of told you a sex just for the sake of it, she's be seriously morally wrong. If she wasn't comfortable telling you the sex she should have got someone else too.

But I would say your prob fine, but if your gonna go out and out and buy loadsa girlie bits (beware you will be sick of pink quite early on! LOL) then I'd try and save some money for a 4d to be sure!
