my hair loss has started, and it's much, much, much!!!

aehhhh, I don't even feel like brushing it anymore as the whole brush is full of hair!!!

Has started? Do I need to expect this?

I think it's common for women who breast feed to lose hair (grows back once done breastfeeding)....don't think you have anything to worry about Wobbs.

I though everyone gets it, when pregnancy hormones are out of the body, as you don't loose any during pregnancy due to the hormons :baby:

I have really thick hair and looks like, that's why I also loose much @ the moment! uahhh!

I heard that it is possible to get it (for every woman) during pregnancy but after birth it's common in breastfeeding women. Could be wrong though.

My hormone levels decreased ages ago - I tested to make sure  lol

don't know :baby:

well, let's see if sb else also doesn't want to brush her hair anymore

When Simon was about 5 months old, I began losing lots of hair. I even considered getting it cut really short because it was depressing me. It's now 2 months later and all has stablized. Just like prior to pregnancy. It goes from no loss for 9 months to more loss than ever due to the hormones so I think it appears worse than it really is! Trust me, I'm not bald! ;) Also, I didn'"t breastfeed and it happened anyway...

that's what I heard!

I am not worried about it, I just find it awful as there are hair everywhere and everytime washing or brushing them results in a handful hair coming out

Mines still falling out & I didn't BF.

Apparently there's a shampoo from lush you can get which is ment to reduce hair loss. Its like a bar of soap but its a shampoo, you dnt use conditioner or anyhthing either. My MIL used it and her hair went lovely, really shiny & healthy looking.

I'm going to pop out and get some while I'm pram free cos the shop is so not pram friendly!

xx

Wow i'm glad to know that its not just me!!! I've noticed too that I've got alot more hair falling out than usual and i'm always having to pick it off of Angelynn it's so annoying!!!

still going on :hissy:

hair everywhere

even when I feed Juleika, I have to pay attention, that there is not a hair slipping into her mouth :dohh:

noooooooooooooo!!!!!:hissy:

I was so hoping to keep the hair I accrued during pregnancy.

I lose hair really bady after pregnancy... once I BF and once not... both times had loads of hair loss. I actually recede !!! I have 2 little bald bits, where a man normally starts to receded. It then grows back as baby hair.... It was only just starting to even out when I fell this time. Luckily I have really thick dark hair, so it's not too noticable, as long as I don't slick it back !!!

Here's what I found about hair loss after you have the baby:

https://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/wha/wha_skinpreg_crs.htm

One to five months after your baby is born, you may lose more hair from your scalp than usual. This loss of hair happens because during pregnancy more hairs go into the resting phase that is part of the normal growth and loss cycle of scalp hair. Six to twelve months after delivery your hair will become thicker again. This condition does not cause permanent hair loss or obvious bald patches.

I know what you mean as when I brush or wash my hair it falls out and I could make a wig for isabelle. lol  Luckily, my hair is thick too but frizzy! Im hope isabelle doesnt have frizzy hair like her mummy or she will get called frizzy Izzy!!!

I had it with Rebecca and now Lucy, mines is coming out in chunks, its horrendous. My whole house has my hairs on the floor, its minging, and worrying!

But i know with Rebecca it does stop (but I had a tiny bald patch with her :hissy:)

Its not a nice stage, :hugs: to everyone

Love from

Your balding friend

minging is exactly the word I was looking for, to express how I feel about it :baby:

well, as Juleika has a bald patch already, I would not wonder if mummy gets one all the same! but never mind, unleast we look alike then

I'm seriously getting sick of all this hair falling out. It feels like at this rate im gonna go bald!!! I want it to stop :hissy:

mine is still going on as well!

seriously, I didn't mind having pregnancy sickness or looking like a balloon, having feet like an elephant and suffering from heartburn like hell, but this hair loss really annoys me!!!

didn't expect it to go on for so long!

when will it end :hissy: :hissy: :hissy:
