Hair style ideas

I need to change my hair, its far too long and pisses me off. I've made an appointment at the hairdressers for next week but I have no idea what kind of cut I want. I've never even been to a hairdressers before! All I know is I want it pretty short.

Anyway, here's the most recent pic that shows my hair - any suggestions of what to do with it?

Long enough to pull back still (c'mon, face it girls, none of us are superwoman and there are many days we LIVE for that ponytail! ) but a dramatic change for you

I do look different, don't I? I'm scared Maria isn't going to recognise me! My mum changed her hair when I was little and I didn't recognise her and ran away screaming

Edit: as soon as I posted this pic on facebook some guy I haven't spoken to in over a year immediately started talking to me - I think its time to go out on the pull
